World’s Largest LED Screen

A real estate developer from Middle East, Tameer Holding, has announced that they will create the world's largest LED screen measuring 100 meters in height. This LED screen will form a facade of its building Podium situated in the Majan district of Dubailand, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011.



The 35-storey building comprises of 33 floors for commercial offices while the remaining ones are dedicated for retail outlets. Tameer Holding claims that its curved LED screen is visible from a distance of 1.5 kilometers and makes an optimal medium for displaying advertisements, messages, and even art.

Despite the Podium's facade being covered with LEDs, Tameer has made sure that these LEDs do not obstruct the natural filtration of light. The LED screen will comprise of a series of LED fixtures on individual panels that goes along with the contour of the building and thus lets natural light come in.
